AML/CTF compliance inside Business Central

ShieldLink puts KYC, risk rating, sanctions screening and AUSTRAC reporting on the Business Central customer card. Built for tranche-two businesses now captured by the regime.

Who it is for

Newly captured professions

AML/CTF obligations now extend to accountants, lawyers, conveyancers, real estate agents, trust and company service providers, and dealers in precious metals and stones. Most of these businesses have no compliance system at all, and the common fallback is a spreadsheet. ShieldLink keeps the obligation inside the system you already run your business on.

KYC on the customer card

Customer due diligence sits where your team already works, not in a separate tool nobody opens.

Automatic risk rating

Every customer is scored Low, Medium or High, with the factors behind the rating recorded.

Sanctions and PEP screening

Screening against the DFAT consolidated list and politically exposed person checks.

Beneficial ownership

A register of beneficial owners held against the customer record.

SMR and TTR reporting

A guided wizard for suspicious matter reports and threshold transaction reports.

7-year audit log

A tamper-evident log retained for seven years, so you can evidence what was checked and when.

Questions

Common questions

Which businesses are captured by the new AML/CTF rules?

The regime was extended to so-called tranche-two entities: accountants, lawyers, conveyancers, real estate agents, trust and company service providers, and dealers in precious metals and stones. If you are unsure whether your services are captured, check AUSTRAC guidance or take legal advice — the answer depends on the specific services you provide, not only your industry.

Does ShieldLink make us compliant?

No, and no software can. An AML/CTF programme is an obligation on your business covering governance, training, independent review and reporting. ShieldLink gives you the customer due diligence, screening, record-keeping and reporting tools to carry out a programme you have designed.

What is a threshold transaction report?

A report to AUSTRAC of a cash transaction at or above the reporting threshold. ShieldLink identifies qualifying transactions and prepares the report for lodgement.

How does sanctions screening work?

Customers are screened against the DFAT consolidated sanctions list, with politically exposed person checks applied at the same time. Matches are flagged for review rather than actioned automatically.

Can we lodge directly with AUSTRAC?

API lodgement is available on the Professional plan. Starter and Business prepare the reports for manual lodgement.

Is there a trial?

Yes, a free 30-day trial through Microsoft AppSource.
